Meet Alejandro J. Urdaneta, DDS Prosthodontist
Dr. Urdaneta is a highly trained, talented, and experienced Prosthodontist & Educator with over two decades in private practice and academia. He continues to dedicate himself to educating, learning, and improving the oral health of the community. Dr. Urdaneta's ultimate goal is to improve patients' quality of life, by means of providing the best quality care and treatment. He treats patients with minor or major dental problems, such as crowns, bridges, dentures, implant crowns for missing teeth or under dentures to hold them in place, TMJ issues, sleep apnea, and smile reconstruction.

A prosthodontist is a dentist who has completed dental school plus three additional years of advanced training and education in an ADA-accredited prosthodontic graduate program. They specialize in treating and handling dental and facial problems that involve restoring missing tooth and jaw structures. A prosthodontist is highly trained in cosmetics, dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), and more.
Prosthodontists have advanced training in restoring and replacing teeth.
Prosthodontists are considered the leaders of the dental treatment plan. Dr. Urdaneta will regularly lead teams of general dentists, specialists, and other health professionals to develop solutions for your dental needs.
Tooth loss happens from decay, gum disease, traumatic injury, cancer or wear. Losing teeth places stress on the mouth’s structures and shape causing the bone to shrink and possibly changing a person’s facial appearance. Dr. Urdaneta resides in southern orange county with his wife and four children. He is an avid mountain biker, surfer, swimmer, and pilots small airplanes.
